Hercules' Labor3 - The Hind Of Ceryneia

Hey guys, this is the third of Hercules' Labors and this time it is The Hind Of Ceryneia.
The hero's task was to bring the king the Hind that lived in the woods of Ceryneia., but even though it seemed and sounded like it was an easy job to do , Hercules found it to be quite difficult. Not only was the hind hard to detect and hunt down, but it was also The godess Diana's favorite pet. In order to bring the king this red deer with golden horns, Hercules had to track it for a whole year and once the deer grew weary of the chase, Hercules shot an arrow at it at the river Landon. While he was carrying it on his back through the forest, he came across the angry goddess Diana and the god Apollo who were very angry at the hero. Diana healed the deer's wounds after Hercules explained her that he had no choice but to do his labor and proceeded onto his next task.
I painted the moment Hercules stopped near the Hind  and was waiting for the right time to shoot it.
